On Tuesday evening, November 6, we flew from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We wanted to be sure we were there well before our cruise was to set sail on Wednesday, November 7. Our hotel for the evening picked us up at the airport; and, after a comfortable night and breakfast the following morning, the hotel shuttle took us to the port. We were so very glad we made the decision to come down to Fort Lauderdale a day early! Many passengers never made it because of various inclement weather conditions throughout the country; as a result, we discovered they were getting on the ship in Cartagena, Colombia--they missed the first two days of the cruise!!
